Bis is an urban bench with a linear, modular design. It offers the option of seating on one or both sides and has a central body that functions as a back and also a support for the seats, which are designed as a projection that protrudes from the central load-bearing structure.
Its simple shape is the result of a progressive abstraction process through which the shapes are gradually reduced to straight horizontal and vertical lines, as in a neoplastic design.
It is designed as a modular structure on which the bench simply rests and the length of the projection can be graduated from zero to one third of its length. The asymmetry of the shape allows for continuous linear bench aggregations.
Reinforced dry-mix concrete with an etched finish, in the Escofet catalogue standard chart colours. The bench requires no anchors and the overturning effect is offset by the counterweight exerted along the whole length of the piece as far as the support point.
