Al-Qana

Al Qana redefines the relationship between city, landscape and water in Abu Dhabi. Stretching along more than two kilometres of waterfront, this mixed-use destination brings together public spaces, amenities and experiences that transform the canal into a vibrant setting for urban life, where leisure, culture and wellbeing are seamlessly integrated.
Designed to activate the waterfront and strengthen its connection with the city, the project creates an accessible, dynamic and inclusive environment for residents and visitors alike. Architecture, landscape and social life come together to shape a high-quality public realm that fosters a strong sense of place and establishes Al Qana as one of the leading urban destinations in the United Arab Emirates.

To support this vision, we developed an integrated public realm solution based on a diverse palette of urban elements capable of responding to the different scales and uses across the project. Seating, planters, paving, bollards and mobility solutions work together to create a coherent and high-quality landscape, where design, functionality and durability converge to enhance the user experience.
Products such as Otto, Roc, Milenio, Lungo Mare, Satellite, Lena, Raval, Carmel, Boxland, Garonne, Serp, Rio and Esfera help shape places for gathering, movement and relaxation, contributing to a unified identity throughout the waterfront. Together, they create a comfortable, resilient and welcoming public environment that reinforces the distinctive character of Al Qana.
