TOYO ITO

Toyo Ito, born in Seoul in 1941, is one of the most innovative and influential architects internationally. He founded his studio in Tokyo in 1971 and has received numerous awards, including the Golden Lion in Venice and the RIBA Gold Medal. His most notable works include the Sendai Mediatheque, the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, and the Fira Tower in Barcelona. His collaboration with Escofet led to urban designs like the Naguisa benches and landscape elements for the Fira de Barcelona.
