Litter bins

Laurel & Hardy

2008

The result of a combination of a litter bin and ashtray in the form of two cylinders with different radii.

The Laurel & Hardy collection by Escofet, designed by Miguel Milà together with his son Gonzalo Milà, is a clear example of the author's mastery. These waste bins not only fulfill their practical function but also beautify the urban environment with their elegant and timeless design.

The comedy pair from interwar American cinema lends its name to the slim ashtray (Laurel) and a larger trash bin (Hardy), referencing the physical contrast between these two iconic actors.
Both elements feature generous capacity and are suitable for high-traffic areas, indoors or outdoors. The litter bin can hold a plastic bag, secured by a stainless-steel ring articulated in the lid hinge.

The ashtray container is removable, with a hinge allowing easy emptying into the trash bin without detachment.

Moulded concrete with an etched and waterproofed finish and in the Escofet catalogue standard chart colour. Forge Black, Textured Silver or Cor-ten effect coated finish cast aluminium lids and accessories. Both cylinders are attached to each other by two screw pins. Both Laurel and Hardy have an anchor to fix them to the paving, but the Hardy bin can be installed so that it is self-standing.
