Paseo de la Alameda

Cádiz, España 2024

The Paseo de la Alameda, on the banks of the Iro River, is a central space redeveloped for public enjoyment, a pleasant and multifunctional environment planned to integrate nature and leisure, providing shaded areas thanks to the abundant vegetation and pergolas installed along the route.

The project, funded with European Funds through Chiclana's Sustainable and Integrated Development Strategy (EDUSI), has seen the creation of a children's play area and the general revitalization of this important urban space.
The promenade prioritizes pedestrians, which is why the area has been calmed and vehicle access reduced to authorized vehicles only. From the playground to the road, there are only a few meters, and the Garonne benches, which thread through the historic environment, serve to separate both areas for safety. The Kanji bench model, accessible and ergonomic, creates a seating area suitable for all ages and abilities. The Milenio benches energize the recreational area, separating it from the vegetation. At night, the decorative lighting of the Soc benches enhances the beauty of the place and complements the rest of Escofet's urban furniture.
