A 100-litre planter that explores the relationship between structure, texture and vegetation, expanding the possibilities of green infrastructure through additive manufacturing.

Vímet is a piece designed to introduce vegetation into public space through a clear structural logic and a precise volumetric reading. Its 100-litre capacity allows for substantial planting, supporting root development while ensuring appropriate performance in demanding urban environments.

The texture of its surface, generated by the controlled superposition of printed layers, forms an envelope reminiscent of woven wicker. This reference is not ornamental but structural: the stratified pattern provides rigidity and stability to the whole, making the production process visible while giving the piece a recognisable material identity.

The upper section, slightly non-planar, introduces a variation in the rim that softens the rigidity of the volume and establishes a more organic transition between container and vegetation. This formal decision strengthens the relationship between the piece and the landscape, avoiding a purely technical reading and favouring its integration into diverse urban and landscape contexts.

Additive manufacturing allows geometry and thickness to be adjusted where necessary, optimising structural performance without altering formal continuity. Vímet can be used as a standalone element or arranged in groupings that form vegetated systems, defining paths, permeable boundaries and areas of stay where vegetation plays a structuring role within public space.
