Marina di Pisa

Located at the mouth of the Arno River, Marina di Pisa is one of the principal waterfronts on the Tuscan coast, where the relationship between infrastructure, landscape and public space plays a defining role. The intervention reorganises the seafront promenade through a strategy of pedestrian continuity, strengthening its function as a place for relaxation, contemplation and connection with the coastline, while meeting the durability and maintenance requirements of a marine environment.
The project incorporates the PEDRETA, SO-FFA and BOX collections, creating an integrated urban furniture solution that combines seating elements and designer litter bins within a unified architectural language. The formal and material consistency of the ensemble helps organise public space, optimising functionality while reinforcing the identity of the promenade through a discreet intervention fully integrated into the coastal landscape.

The intervention reflects a design strategy that understands urban furniture as an integral component of the coastal landscape. The implementation of these solutions enhances the spatial quality of the waterfront, encouraging everyday use and permanence through a balanced combination of functionality, durability and architectural integration.
