Playful Urban Landscapes
Recognising the social importance of play in public spaces inspires us to create inclusive and healthy cities. By integrating urban furniture and elements that encourage children’s play at the city’s core, we aim to improve community living and bring people together.
One of the best ways to support play activities is to create optimal conditions for the stay and interaction of adults who care for children and occasionally share in their play. One approach is to choose or design urban furniture elements that encourage play: benches that promote conversation and fun, game or picnic tables, creative lighting, and more.
Concrete elements are an excellent option for designing free, inclusive, and diverse play environments. Their ability to create smooth shapes with rounded edges—beautiful and pleasant to the touch—combined with their resistance to wear and breakage from use, provides safety for both users and the space.
