The urban transformation of the Culture Forum 2004 zone has generated large-scale public spaces: Forum Esplanade, Parc dels Auditoris, the Baños zone, Sant Adrià Harbour and Pau Park. These spaces form a variety of situations in which the relationship with the sea, the new facilities, the geography and the vegetation define the character of each zone.
Street furniture such as Hebi, Murllum and Xurret System emerge with a capacity to configure the space they colonize. These are innovative elements which condense the energy of the new places in the urban landscape and coexist with other anonymous elements that give the design its materiality: stairs, railings, etc. At the same time, the incorporation of standard elements including Kanya light posts, Pedra Negra litter bins, Bollard edges, Sillarga recliners and others, prove the universality and currency of this long series of street furniture in today’s city spaces.
