Set of three modular backless benches; Aran, Toulouse and Bordeaux, with rounded top corners, symbolising the effects of the river that has eroded its edges.
The Garonne Toulouse backless bench was designed for the stations of the first line of the Toulouse tram, now called Ligne Garonne, as its recent extension makes it necessary for it to cross this river. Aran is the name of the valley where the river Garonne rises, Toulouse is the city in the middle of the river, and Bordeaux is the name of the city where it flows into the Atlantic.
The overall dimensions of the three models are 200 x 60 cm and 45 cm in height. Aran and Bordeaux feature a two-tiered seat surface for use as a chaise longue. The lower height is adapted for children's seating.
The Bordeaux model incorporates a depressed level of the seat surface at 30 cm, connected to the upper plane by an inclined plane. Conversely, the Aran model has an emerging plane. The 5 cm recessed base hides the support surface, leaving its mass weightless, levitating over its own shadow.
Manufactured in molded concrete, with an etched and waterproof finish and standard Escofet color chart. Supported on pavement and optionally anchored with two threaded screws in sleeves embedded in its base.
