SCOB LATTICE is a modular system of screens and canopies conceived to address the new environmental demands of contemporary architecture and public space. Developed through the study of light, wind and solar radiation, the system operates as a climatic filter capable of modulating solar exposure, reducing heat gain and improving comfort conditions in façades, transitional spaces and outdoor living areas.
Manufactured in high-performance UHPC concrete, SCOB LATTICE consists of perforated panels with a 40% open area, combining structural slenderness, geometric precision and durability. Its perforated pattern reinterprets the Mediterranean lattice screen as a contemporary architectural element, generating a dynamic relationship between shade, light and ventilation. The separation between the screen and the building envelope promotes the formation of ventilated cavities that contribute to the passive environmental conditioning of buildings, reducing energy demand and improving overall environmental performance.
Thanks to its modularity and variety of fixing systems, SCOB LATTICE can be implemented as a second architectural skin, a solar control element or a lightweight canopy for the creation of climate shelters. The repetition of modules allows the configuration of continuous surfaces at different scales, adaptable to both architectural projects and public-space interventions.
Its ability to generate shade, improve thermal comfort and enhance outdoor environments makes SCOB LATTICE a particularly suitable solution for the climatic transformation of cities. Beyond its constructive function, the system contributes to creating more liveable, resilient urban environments better prepared to face contemporary environmental challenges.
