Sant Salvador Avenue
The redevelopment of Avinguda Sant Salvador in Badalona transforms this urban corridor into a more comfortable, accessible and climate-responsive public space. The project enhances environmental quality and the overall user experience by introducing new areas for rest and social interaction, encouraging everyday use and community life.
To support this intervention, Escofet provides an integrated solution combining urban furniture and shading systems. The Garonne and Garonne Lupa benches, together with the Ombrel·la structure, create spaces for gathering and relaxation, extending the usability of the public realm throughout the year, particularly during periods of high solar exposure.
The intervention adopts an integrated approach to urban comfort, where shade, seating and landscape are conceived as complementary elements within a single design strategy. The incorporation of shading solutions helps improve the site's microclimatic conditions, encouraging longer stays and enhancing user wellbeing. The result is a more resilient and adaptable public space, capable of responding to new environmental challenges while maintaining architectural quality and a strong sense of place.
