Presentation of “The expression of weight”
On 1 June we attended the presentation of the book "The expression of weight" by Luís Martínez Santa-María. The publication, edited by the Mies van der Rohe Foundation and of which we are sponsors together with Cementos Molins, reflects on the importance of weight in architecture through examples in art history.
Encouraging creative play in the street
The new access of the La Pau School by Leku Studio, in Barcelona, encourages spontaneous and creative play in the street, revitalizing a degraded and disused space. Our urban elements Universe and Bollard enhance this new playful dimension of the place, while also promoting the stay and the meeting.
Escofet joins the Cementos Molins group
Escofet becomes part of the Cementos Molins group, thus reinforcing its leading position in the sector of design and industrialization of urban and architectural concrete elements. This incorporation will accelerate the growth of the company and enhance the group's commercial and industrial synergies.
We love the city
At Escofet we love the city. That’s why we design new products that encourage people to meet and infuse the city with life again. For us, creating our products is just as important as describing them with affection, in order to make them not just useful and necessary, but also memorable.

America Sanchez, Honorary Laus 2020
The designer America Sanchez, a key figure for the graphic culture of the city of Barcelona and National Design Award in 1992, receives the Honorary Laus 2020 by the Board of the ADG-FAD in recognition for his career and legacy.
America collaborated with Escofet on two occasions: in 1974 he updated the previous company logotype (created by Alexander Cirici in 1952), and in 1992 he designed and laid the foundations for Escofet's new graphic identity, which continues to be in use to this day.
